Kayode was a land agent in Ogun State. On the 10th of November 2021, he was eating in a canteen with others when some police officers raided the place.
At the station, he was asked to pay for bail but he couldn't and so he remained in their custody. He was eventually charged to court alone for belonging to an unlawful society and arraigned on the 7th of January, 2022.
The court realized that his name also appeared on another charge sheet with two other defendants. His initial single case was then struck out.
They were granted bail of 100,000 each but he still couldn't perfect his bail because of financial constraints.
In May 2022, He met our lawyer- Silver Obioha at our Abeokuta Mobile Office donated by @osafoundation and his brief was taken. She represented him for free and secured his freedom on the 21st of June 2022.
Sadly, he spent 7 months in custody before regaining his freedom.
