Founded in 2019 to provide access to justice, advocate for human rights, and juvenile justice in Nigeria, Headfort Foundation for Justice is now a national organization that partners with impacted communities and government agencies for change.
With offices in four major cities in Nigeria, and a team of hundreds of advocates, activists, and lawyers, we work to transform the Nigerian criminal justice system so that money doesn’t determine freedom; fewer people are in, prisons, and everyone in the system is informed, have access to legal practitioner and treated with dignity regardless of their socio-economic status.
To see a just and equitable Nigeria where everyone has equal access to justice.
To significantly improve access to justice in Nigeria through human rights advocacy, legal aid, and innovative technology solutions.
We ensure that our initiatives are guided by principles of fairness and impartiality, striving to rectify systemic injustices within the Nigerian Justice System.
We acknowledge the responsibility we bear toward our beneficiaries, donors, and the broader community. Transparent governance, responsible financial stewardship, and a commitment to learning and improvement are central tenets.
We recognize the power of collaboration in achieving our goals. Partnerships are forged with law enforcement agencies, other nonprofits, governmental bodies, and communities to create a collective impact. Collaborative initiatives not only amplify the reach of our organization but also contribute to a holistic approach in addressing the complexities of justice and human rights issues.
